Equillect is owned and operated by Lucema Tech Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, having its registered office in Amreli, Gujarat, India (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. This Policy applies to all users of the Platform.

We collect information directly from you when you use our Platform.

Name, email address, and phone number.
Login credentials (passwords are encrypted).
Professional profile details (e.g., LinkedIn profile, designation).

1.2 Startup & Business Data

We collect detailed information about your Company, including but not limited to:

Company Profile: Name, registration details, sector, stage, and location.
Business Metrics: Traction, revenue, market size, and business model.
Documents: Pitch decks, DPIIT certificate, and other due diligence materials you voluntarily upload.
Team Info: Details about co-founders and key team members.

1.3 Investor Information

We collect information about Investors, including but not limited to:

Investment thesis, cheque size, and sector preferences.
Portfolio details and investment history.

1.4 Technical Information

IP address, browser type, device information, usage logs, and other telemetry/monitoring data.

2. Sensitive Personal Data

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as health data, or other financial account passwords.

3. Purpose of Data Collection

We use your data to:

Connect Founders & Investors: Your startup data is used to match you with relevant investors.
Provide Services: To create accounts, manage logins, and deliver dashboard features.
Communication: To send you updates, potential matches, offers, and support emails.
Legal Compliance: To prevent fraud and comply with Indian laws.
We may use the information to improve our products and services

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your data. We share it only as follows:

With Other Users: Startup data (including pitch decks) is shared with Investors on the platform to facilitate funding.
Service Providers: We use trusted third-party providers (e.g., AWS, Supabase, Vercel and other providers) to host and run our infrastructure.
Legal Obligations: If required by law, court order, or government authority.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in and analyze platform performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We may also retain specific data as required by law (e.g., for tax audits or fraud prevention) even after account closure.

We implement reasonable security practices (encryption, access controls) to protect your data. However, no digital platform is 100% secure, and you provide information at your own risk.

8. User Rights (Deletion & Withdrawal)

Since our platform is currently in an early stage, some data management features are manual. Subject to applicable laws, you have the right to:

Access & Correct: You can edit your profile and startup data directly through your dashboard.
Delete Account: To request the permanent deletion of your user account and data, please email us at reach@equillect.com.
Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent for data processing at any time by contacting us at reach@equillect.com. Note that withdrawing consent may result in the suspension of your account.

9. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

10. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended strictly for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
