Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) governs the refund, cancellation, and payment-related terms for the use of the Equillect platform (“Platform”), owned and operated by Lucema Tech Private Limited (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using Equillect and purchasing any paid services, you agree to be bound by this Policy.


1. Nature of Services

Equillect is a digital platform that connects startup founders with investors and provides related digital tools, dashboards, and services.

All services offered on Equillect are Non-tangible and Digital in nature.

  • Delivery: There is no physical shipping or delivery.
  • Activation: While we strive for instant access, services may not be activated immediately upon payment due to verification or processing requirements.
  • We do not guarantee specific timelines for investor responses, profile reviews, or engagement outcomes.

2. Free, Beta, and Promotional Access

  • Certain features of Equillect may be offered free of charge, during beta testing, or through promotional campaigns, discount codes, or coupons.
  • No refunds shall be applicable for:
    • Free access tiers.
    • Beta access or trial periods.
    • Services purchased with a 100% discount coupon.

The Company reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue beta or promotional access at any time without liability.


3. Cancellation Policy

  • Users are responsible for managing their subscription settings and cancellation timelines.

3.1 User-Initiated Cancellation

  • Subscriptions: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation will stop future billing, but your access will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.
  • One-Time Purchases: For one-time services (e.g., a "Pitch Deck Review"), cancellation is not possible once the service has been delivered or processing has begun.
  • No Prorated Refunds: We do not provide partial refunds for the unused portion of a subscription period.

3.2 Company-Initiated Cancellation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform without refund if:

  • The user violates our Terms & Conditions.
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity is detected.
  • The user misrepresents information (e.g., a fake investor profile or fraudulent startup claims).
  • The user engages in behavior that harms the reputation or operation of the Platform.
  • We are required to do so by law or regulatory authority.
  • After reasonable assessment, we determine that the user's actions are detrimental to the Platform ecosystem or other users.

4. Refund Policy

4.1 General Rule

As Equillect provides digital services, all sales are generally final, subject to the exceptions stated in this Policy.

4.2 Exceptions (When we WILL refund)

Refunds may be considered only under the following specific circumstances:

  • Duplicate Payment: If you were charged twice for the same transaction due to a technical glitch.
  • Service Failure: If payment was deducted, but the service was not activated due to a technical error on our end.

All refund requests are subject to internal review and verification by the Company.


5. Non-Refundable Scenarios (When we will NOT refund)

For clarity, refunds will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind after purchase.
  • Dissatisfaction with outcomes: You paid for a service (e.g., Premium Listing) but did not receive funding, investment offers, or the desired number of views/replies. (Fees are charged for access to the software tools, not for guaranteed business results).
  • User Error: Incorrect information provided by the user or failure to use the features.
  • Auto-Renewal Negligence: You failed to cancel a recurring subscription before the scheduled renewal date.
  • Third-Party Delays: Issues caused by your bank, internet provider, or email service.
  • Technical Incompatibility: Issues arising from your own hardware, outdated browser, or unstable internet connection.
  • Email Delivery: Communications sent via the platform landing in an investor's spam/junk folder (which is beyond our control).
  • Unused Services or Inactivity: If you purchase a subscription but do not log in or use the features.
  • Cancellation: In case of any cancellation as stated in the Cancellation Policy.

6. Refund Processing Timeline

  • Request Window: Refund requests must be made within 7 days of the transaction.
  • Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days.
  • Method: Refunds will be credited strictly to the original payment method (Source Account). We cannot refund to a different bank account or wallet for security reasons.
  • Bank Delays: The Company is not responsible for delays caused by the user's bank or payment gateway processing times.

7. Chargebacks & Disputes

  • Users are encouraged to contact reach@equillect.com before initiating any chargeback with their bank.
  • Unjustified chargebacks (claiming "Fraud" for a valid purchase) are a violation of these terms and may result in permanent account suspension and legal action to recover damages.
